This is what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course (aka AOW) is all about. It is designed that you can transition straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course. The AOW course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under supervision of your PADI instructor.

The AOW course certifies you to dive to a depth of 30meters and is the required certification level in many dive destinations.

COURSE INFORMATION

The course includes 5 adventure dives and can be completed in 2 full days. There will be no final exam and the only homework you have to do is to study the appropriate sections in the AOW online manual (eLearning) and answer the questions at the end of each chapter.

You’ll conduct the following dives:

• Peak Performance Buoyancy
• Underwater Navigation
• Deep Diving
• Night diving (can be changed to another adventure dive if you prefer)
• Final adventure dive for you to choose (i.e. wreck diving, fish identification, drift diving)

COURSE PREREQUISITES

• You must already be a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent from another organisation)
• You need to be able to answer all questions in the PADI Medical Statement with NO

BE A BETTER DIVER

Challenging and rewarding

best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve learned in previous programs, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.

The fun part of this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.

COURSE INFORMATION

In this course you learn a lot about self-rescue, rescuing other divers and the management of dive related accidents. The main skills you learn include:

• Self-rescue during diving (i.e. cramps, out of air, entanglement etc)
• Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
• Emergency management and equipment
• Rescuing others on the surface (i.e. panic divers, tired divers etc)
• Rescuing unresponsive divers on the surface and under water
• Finding a missing diver
• Completion of several rescue scenarios

COURSE PREREQUISITES

• Be 12 years or older
• Have a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
• Be trained and current for First Aid incl. CPR within the previous 2 years (e.g. PADI EFR Emergency First Responder training – our packages include this if you don’t have it yet)
• Able to answer all questions in the PADI Medical Statement with NO

THE MOST POPULAR SPECIALTY COURSE

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives, it  can make diving even safer and let you be less exhausted. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver.

If you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old, you can enroll in the Enriched Air Diver Specialty course.

COURSE INFORMATION

You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. During a practical session, and two scuba dives you’ll:

• Discuss managing oxygen exposure.
• Practice analyzing oxygen content in your scuba tank.
• Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox

COURSE PRICE AND PACKAGES

There are 2 options to become a Nitrox diver:

1. Full PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver course with 2 Nitrox dives@ MYR 750.00
2. Dry course only excluding additional dives @ MYR 550.00

Nitrox is best combined with more dives or other courses. You arrive on Tioman with Nitrox theory already completed online (eLearning). After arrival you complete the assessment and do the practical application (analyze a tank, plan your dive) and start diving the following day on Nitrox. Technical Diving, Sidemount Diving and Rebreather

Do you have deeper thoughts and always wanted to explore one of those amazing shipwrecks that only technical divers are telling stories about? There is indeed something special about diving a 250 meter long World War II Battleship in 55 meters depth, to dive into their history. B&J has been a pioneer in providing Technical Diving in Malaysia ever since the early 90s.

The best wrecks in the world lie beneath the limits of recreational diving, mostly in a depth range of 50 meters or deeper. To safely dive these amazing places you need special training and equipment. The training is demanding and the equipment extensive.

Only a few operators are offering technical diving courses and excursions. We believe that the most important feature of any dive centre offering those courses is not the certification itself, but the quality of the training. These guys will become your source of information and inspiration, your buddies, your confidants and your shoulders to cry on! These are the guys who will be sitting with you late into the night if necessary helping you prepare your presentations and helping you swot up on your theory.
